Board for Next year
President: Rachel Quarnberg
President-Elect: Tia Hansen
Treasurer: Kristin Palmer
Secretary: Shantel Bjornn
Explain other VP positions
Rachel explained that all PTA doings will fall under the following 6 VPS: Communication, Community Outreach, Teacher Support, Student Support and Opportunity, Fundraising, and Student Body Unity
It was determined that a Legislative VP is an important position to have, so the 7th VP position will be filled by a Legislative/Advocacy VP
There will be committees under each of the VPs
Currently, the Communication VP is filled by Alisen Mower, the Teacher Support VP is filled by Lisa Young, and the Fundraising VP is filled by Robyn Johnson. All other VP positions are currently open and will be filled shortly. The public will be notified when this is done.
Shantel moved to vote in the new executive board and VP positions as listed. Robyn Johnson seconded. The vote was unanimous with all in attendance.
Spring Festival
Plan for what we want
It was determined that we want to make this event big. We don’t want to make it a small thing that ends up being more hassle. In order to do so, we will sell concessions, talked about including a talent show portion/variety show with teachers. Concessions are wanted over food trucks. Possibility of renting a stage and holding it outside
Budget is $1200
No dunk tank this year, although something for the teachers like a pie in the face is preferred.
It was determined that a committee will be formed to plan the event. Alisen Mower, Ashlyn Gardner, Lori Moore, and the executive board will move forward with planning it.
